Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ernest Harpik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor OMalley!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OMalley drives through with a takedown into guard.
OMalley works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Harpik gets back to full guard.
Harpik is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Harpik keeping full guard, as OMalley tries to pass.
OMalley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
OMalley chips away with some ground and pound.
OMalley stopping the sweep attempt from Harpik.
Harpik is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Harpik working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Harpik throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
OMalley is trying to maintain the position but Harpik is very close to passing his half guard.

Harpik lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
OMalley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Harpik.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Harpik lands a nice short elbow.
Harpik throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing OMalley to regain full guard.
OMalley is trying to keep Harpik in close.
Harpik is stalling in the full guard.
Harpik working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Harpik controls from within his opponent's guard.

OMalley is trying to control the position but Harpik postures up.
Harpik looking to improve position, pressing down on OMalley's thigh with his hand. OMalley seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Harpik paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Harpik's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! OMalley picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

Conor OMalley bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
