Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Coco Nutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iroquois Pliskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nutz comes to the cage accompanied by Afrika Bambaataa - Feel The Wibe. Pliskin has chosen Metal Gear Solid Main Theme as his entrance music. Coco Nutz had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Coco Nutz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Iroquois Pliskin!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pliskin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nutz is trying to improve his position.
Nutz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pliskin off and has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nutz has the hooks in. Pliskin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pliskin is landing with some decent strikes but Nutz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Nutz tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pliskin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Pliskin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nutz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nutz is looking to improve his position but Pliskin isn't that keen on the idea.

Iroquois Pliskin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nutz has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Pliskin escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Pliskin!

Well Pliskin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
