Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reginald Lewis (ranked 2557 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Starling (ranked 23512 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reginald Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Starling!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starling is looking to clinch.

Starling clinches with his opponent.
Starling is trying to pull guard but Lewis has him pressed against the cage.
Starling jumps guard but Lewis stands there with Starling around his waist. Starling gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Starling fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Lewis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Starling tries to clinch but Lewis is having none of it.
Lewis tries to counter with a takedown but Starling is quick to defend against it.

Lewis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Starling was covering up waiting for the punch and Lewis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Starling has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lewis has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Lewis is breathing heavily.
Lewis throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Lewis manages to break the clinch.
Starling shoots in for a takedown but Lewis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Reginald Lewis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Starling.
Starling moves in looking to clinch but Lewis pushes him off.

Lewis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Lewis went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Starling kicks off Lewis and gets to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lewis tries a head kick but it misses.
Lewis leaves Starling with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Starling tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lewis defends well and Starling ends up having to push Lewis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lewis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lewis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Starling.

Lewis has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lewis manages to pull guard.
Lewis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Starling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lewis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Starling has managed to get both his arms back between Lewis's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lewis tries to get out of the position.
Starling postures up in Lewis's guard and throws a big left but Lewis blocks it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Starling is trying to pull guard but Lewis has him pressed against the cage.

Starling postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Starling stands up from Lewis's guard - Starling perhaps looking for a knockout.
Starling dives in for a single leg takedown but Lewis sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Lewis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Starling bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Starling shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jackson Starling will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lewis moves into range and clinches up with Starling.

Lewis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Starling is looking to clinch but Lewis is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Lewis.
Starling with the counter takedown but Lewis avoids it easily.
Lewis looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Lewis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Starling avoids it really well and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Lewis. No joy for Starling on that attempt.
Starling has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lewis is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Reginald Lewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lewis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Starling closes the distance and clinches up with Lewis, looking for a takedown. Starling pushes Lewis against the cage but Lewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Starling looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lewis seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Starling or perhaps it was just good defense by Lewis, which made it look bad.
Starling dives in and grabs Lewis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lewis pushes down on Starling's head and hops out.

We've been hearing good reports from Lewis's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Starling shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lewis sprawls well. Lewis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Starling gets slowly back to his feet.

Starling tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lewis just stands there and leans against the cage.
Starling tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lewis smiles and moves away.

Starling jumps guard but Lewis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Starling passes Lewis's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Lewis blocking the ground and pound attempt from Starling.
Lewis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Starling can do to turn this around?

It looked like Lewis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

And that's the end of the fight!
Reginald Lewis showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lewis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
