PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Steve Karr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fergie Balls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karr comes to the cage accompanied by Who...Mike Jones . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karr tries to bum rush Balls with a series of wild strikes but Balls uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Karr shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Karr is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Karr avoids the body shot from Balls.
Karr looks for a takedown but Balls sprawls well.

Balls shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Balls was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Balls controlling from mount.
Let's hope that Balls has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Karr tries to reverse the position but Balls maintains control.

Balls get's back to his feet.

Karr clinches with his opponent.
Balls prevents Karr from breaking the clinch.
Balls tries to pull guard but Karr won't allow it.
Balls scores with a nice hook to the head.

Balls breaks the clinch.

Balls darts in and clinches Karr up against the cage.
Balls scores with a hook to the body.

Balls successfully pulls guard.
Balls wants to stand and escape but Karr is having none of it.
Balls looking to control.
Balls wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balls manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Karr is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Karr is breathing heavily.

Karr tries to improve his position but instead Balls has taken his back!

Balls has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Karr! Can he survive? No! He's out! Balls gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
