Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Ramano!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Ramano counters with a shoot takedown. Walal fights it but they end up in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramano accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walal controls Ramano momentarily but Ramano frees himself.
Walal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramano on the ground.

Ramano is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Walal has escaped the position, nice work there.
Ramano scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Walal to see if he's OK.

Ramano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walal is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ramano is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Walal has escaped the position, nice work there.

Walal rushes Ramano and presses him up against the cage.

Walal gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Walal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ramano keeps working.

We've been hearing that Walal has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Ramano is not content to let Walal control the position.
Ramano has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
You can see the frustration on Ramano's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ramano has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ramano manages to get back to half guard.
Ramano is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Walal's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Walal's back!

Ramano working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Walal is doing well to defend. Ramano seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Walal is forced to tap and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ray Ramano!
A relieved looking Ray Ramano thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
