Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Willy Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Able Cane!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cane closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Nelson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nelson is trying to control but Cane manages to pass to mount!
Nelson is looking to improve his position but Cane isn't that keen on the idea.
Cane throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Nelson because Cane loaded up on that one.

Nelson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Cane wants to pass to mount but Nelson is defending the position.
Nelson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Nelson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cane escapes and throws Nelson's legs to the side, diving into side control!
You can see the frustration on Nelson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Nelson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Nelson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Cane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nelson keeps working.
Cane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cane wants to free his trapped foot but Nelson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cane seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Nelson gets full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Nelson looking for a guillotine here but Cane defends easily.
Nelson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looks like Willy Nelson has been cut.

Nelson is working for takedown but Cane is calmly controlling the position for now.
Cane tries to stall but Nelson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Nelson is trying to drag Cane to the mat but Cane just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nelson postures up.
Cane can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nelson controls the pace.

Cane is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Cane has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Nelson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Cane is trying to keep Nelson in close.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cane has Nelson up against the cage in a clinch.

Cane closes the distance and clinches.
Nelson wants to take the fight to the mat but Cane manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Nelson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Able Cane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cane throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Cane shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nelson's guard.
Nelson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cane is controlling him.
Cane wants to control from the top but Nelson keeps moving.

Cane is posturing up here but Nelson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Cane tries to roll out but it's too tight and Cane has to tap! Slick submission there by Nelson!
