Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Volg Zangief (ranked 5624 p4p, 264 weight class) and Chuck Van Damme (ranked 6998 p4p, 307 weight class). Zangief kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The wolf's hunt by-WOLFSLAIR. Van Damme is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jeet Kune Do Sensei. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck Van Damme!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Winston Howard and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangief getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Zangief sizes up Van Damme with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Van Damme plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Zangief scores with a jab to the head.
Zangief scores with a hook.
Zangief bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Van Damme's head backwards.
Zangief has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Zangief there as he acknowledges the shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Van Damme tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zangief was well out of range. Poor timing from Van Damme.
Van Damme tries to land a leg kick but Zangief saw it coming and moves away.
Zangief has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Zangief feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Van Damme wants to get back to his feet but Zangief is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Zangief's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Zangief lands a couple of digs.
Zangief prevents Van Damme from getting back to his feet.

Van Damme really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zangief. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Van Damme is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Zangief dives into side control.

Zangief connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Van Damme some visible discomfort.
Van Damme is looking to get back to his feet here but Zangief is keeping cool and he's managed to take Van Damme's back.
Zangief cracks Van Damme with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Van Damme from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Zangief has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Van Damme.
Van Damme takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Van Damme grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Zangief is punishing Van Damme with strikes - can he finish him?!

Van Damme is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zangief drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Van Damme is in real trouble here! Zangief lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Zangief is delighted!

Post fight, an emotional Alexander Volg Zangief said 'Chuck Van .....DAMN YOU GOT YOUR ADS BEAT!!! I AM THE RED WOLF AND I'M ON THE EVENT TO THE CHAMP..'.
Chuck Van Damme was interviewed post fight and said 's*ck my d*ck!'.
