Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toktogulovich Bakiyev (ranked 2866 p4p, 328 weight class) and Tane Huia (ranked 3298 p4p, 376 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

22 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toktogulovich Bakiyev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tane Huia!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huia throws an off balance right hand
and Huia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bakiyev fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bakiyev connects with a looping right hand.
Huia throws a jab but it's blocked by Bakiyev.
Huia darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Huia throws an off balance right hand
and Bakiyev counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bakiyev swings for the body but Huia moves out of range.
Huia closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bakiyev counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A lazy left from Bakiyev finds it's target.
Huia misses with a series of wild punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Huia on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Jab by Huia.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Huia throws a lazy uppercut
and Bakiyev cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bakiyev lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Huia misses the jab.
Huia waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bakiyev.
Huia throws a combination that misses
and Bakiyev counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Huia thinking.
Huia connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Bakiyev blocks a jab.
Bakiyev defending well as Huia loads up on a big left hand.
Bakiyev misses with a body shot.
Huia jabbing away but nothing is landing.
It looked like Bakiyev wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Huia lands a head shot.
Bakiyev is rocked!
Bakiyev avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oh Bakiyev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Huia cracks Bakiyev with a hook to the temple - Bakiyev is on wobbly legs here! Huia swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Bakiyev falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Huia wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tane Huia!
