PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Ravencroft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Ravencroft told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Ravencroft!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark lands a two punch combo.
Clark feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ravencroft's calf.
Ravencroft fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ravencroft changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clark tries to avoid it but Ravencroft manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clark to the ground. Clark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ravencroft shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Clark as he jumps to the side.
Ryan Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Ravencroft.
Ravencroft shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Clark but Clark pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Clark lands a right hook to the body.
Clark scores with a sloppy right hand. Ravencroft should have avoided that one.
Nice sprawl there from Clark as Ravencroft shoots in.
Ravencroft looks gassed!
Clark keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ravencroft shoots in looking for a takedown. Clark tries to sprawl out of it but Ravencroft keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Clark drops Ravencroft with a right and a left! Clark comes rushing in but Ravencroft regains his composure and manages to keep Clark in guard.

Ravencroft is rocked!

It looks like Michael Ravencroft has been cut.

Clark decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Clark lands with a big left! Ravencroft is wobbled badly! Clark comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Ravencroft to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
