The crowd seem to be enjoying Kidman's choice of entrance music: You Can Run. Thomas Davis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Billy Kidman's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kidman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Kidman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kidman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Davis wants to control but Kidman is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Davis loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kidman scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Davis land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Davis stands and salutes the crowd.

A relieved looking Thomas Davis thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
