Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Raulian Satoshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mohammed Jonhson!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonhson looks for a takedown but Satoshi sprawls well.
Jonhson throws a predictable looking body shot

and Satoshi counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jonhson!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Satoshi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jonhson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Satoshi controls the position from side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jonhson is trying to control Satoshi's posture but Satoshi avoids it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Satoshi tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Satoshi has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Satoshi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Jonhson is looking to get back to his feet here but Satoshi is keeping cool and he's managed to take Jonhson's back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Satoshi throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Jonhson trying to control the hands but Satoshi breaks the grip.
What can Jonhson do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Satoshi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Satoshi controlling the positon.

Satoshi controlling the position well here. Jonhson rolled but Satoshi kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Satoshi is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jonhson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raulian Satoshi dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Satoshi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jonhson!

Raulian Satoshi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jonhson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jonhson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Satoshi presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Satoshi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jonhson's head.
Jonhson wants to improve his position but Satoshi is controlling well.
Satoshi is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Satoshi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jonhson has managed to free his arm - good work.
Satoshi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Satoshi stalling.
Jonhson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jonhson trying to get back to full guard but Satoshi takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Jonhson throws a strike from the bottom but Satoshi holds onto the arm and goes for an armbar! He's got it! Fantastic submission from Satoshi!
