Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kent Baird (ranked 25346 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Bronze (ranked 5733 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kent Baird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devin Bronze!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baird closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bronze to the mat! Bronze manages to get full guard.
Baird might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bronze throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Baird with a nice head shot there.
Baird controlling from the top position.
Baird throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bronze works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Baird has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bronze is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bronze isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Baird stacks Bronze on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Baird!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baird thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Baird wants to stand but Bronze has his arm trapped.
Bronze tries to improve position but can't.
Bronze tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Baird lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bronze wants to hold on but Baird pushes him away.
Baird could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bronze is desperately trying to improve his position but Baird has a good base and remains in mount.
Baird breaks from Bronze's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Bronze is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bronze tries to reverse the position but Baird maintains control.
Bronze looks winded!
The referee warns Bronze that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bronze keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Baird lands a nice shot to the head.
Baird tries to control but Bronze wriggling away.
Baird controlling the pace for now.

Baird looking to secure an arm triangle but Bronze defends it well.
Baird looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Baird avoids the attempt from Bronze to control.
Bronze working to try and regain half guard.
Bronze tries to hold on but Baird pushes him away.
Baird trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Baird putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Bronze closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Baird to the mat! Baird manages to get full guard.

Baird is looking to cinch up a triangle. Bronze throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Baird's body to avoid the submission. Baird has instead reached around Bronze's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Baird arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kent Baird!
