Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Levine (ranked 5536 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jackson (ranked 6058 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Jackson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremiah Levine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson dives in for a single leg takedown but Levine sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Levine seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jackson trying to control the position but Levine is working away.
Levine takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jackson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Levine sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jackson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Levine sneaks out the side door and pushes Jackson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Jackson instigates a clinch.

Levine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Levine counters with a single leg into guard. Jackson didn't expect that.

Levine lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jackson holds on and takes a little breather.
Levine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Levine works over Jackson with some ground and pound from guard.
Jackson is adopting a defensive guard.

Jackson is looking for a triangle here but Levine uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Levine lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jackson down.

Jackson somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Levine defends it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


No luck for Levine with that takedown attempt.
Andrew Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.

Levine pushes Jackson off and gets back to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Levine, which made it look bad.
A quick step to the side and Levine tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jackson lands with a kick to the temple. Levine shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Jackson instigates a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Levine - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Levine pinned against the cage. Levine gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Levine counters with a single leg into guard. Jackson didn't expect that.
Jeremiah Levine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Jackson.

Levine with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Levine postures up and lands a big shot to Jackson's brow.
Levine lands a couple of digs.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Levine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Levine works over Jackson with some ground and pound from guard.
Jackson is looking to sweep but instead, Levine has passed into half guard.
Levine landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Levine winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Levine prevents Jackson from improving his position.
Jackson is looking to get back to full guard here but Levine has managed to pass to side control instead.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Levine stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Jackson fails with the takedown

and Levine counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Jackson tries to kick Levine off in order to stand up. Levine Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Jackson looking for a sweep but Levine has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Levine looking to isolate an arm here. Jackson doesn't see it coming and as Levine extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Levine!
