Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Otihcam (ranked 8502 p4p, 316 weight class) and Geno Chartier (ranked 4572 p4p, 213 weight class). Chartier has chosen Purple Rain as his entrance music. Geno Chartier is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Otihcam.
Otihcam throws a hook to the side of Chartier's head but Chartier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chartier tries to counter by closing the distance.

Chartier instigates a clinch.

Chartier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Otihcam throws a hook but Chartier avoids it easily.

and Chartier counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Otihcam!

Chartier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chartier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Chartier wants to control but Otihcam is keeping him busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Chartier wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Otihcam, who protects the arm well.
Chartier cracks Otihcam with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Chartier works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Chartier grinds an elbow into Otihcam's temple.

Otihcam is rocked!
Chartier in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Otihcam looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Chartier turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
