Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Ryan (ranked 466 p4p, 71 weight class) and Ryu Aokison (ranked 853 p4p, 124 weight class). Ryan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Animals - House of the Rising Sun. Aokison has chosen Caroline as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryu Aokison!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Winston Howard and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Aokison counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Aokison.
Ryan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Aokison's guard.

Ryan wants to control from the top but Aokison keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Aokison rushes Ryan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ryan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Aokison wants the takedown. Ryan is fighting it off but Aokison persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Ryan's guard against the cage.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Aokison goes for a double leg but Ryan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ryan continues to drive forward.

Aokison darts in looking for a takedown but Ryan gets double underhooks and turns Aokison into the cage.
Ryan is looking to counter with a body kick.
Jimmy Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryu Aokison.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ryan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Aokison.
Aokison misses with a takedown attempt - Ryan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ryu Aokison will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A decent looking cross lands there for Ryan.
Aokison thumps Ryan with a low kick.
Aokison throws a low kick, looking for Ryan's leg but Ryan calmly moves out of range.
As Aokison looks to move away, Ryan throws a big counter combo but Aokison just gets out of the way.
No joy there for Aokison, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ryan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Aokison drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ryan defends it well.
Ryan misses with an uppercut.
Ryan misses with a straight left.
Aokison takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Ryu Aokison has been cut.
Ryan lands with a slapping head kick.
Aokison throws a nice looking combination but Ryan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ryan throws a body shot but no joy.
A jab from Ryan misses.
Aokison tries to clinch there but Ryan circles away.
Ryan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ryan drops Aokison with a naaaaasty hook - Aokison is in real trouble here! Ryan dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
