PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drake Basket Case (ranked 1623 p4p, 203 weight class) and Kim Duk Koo (ranked 3809 p4p, 416 weight class). Basket Case 's entrance music is Crazy. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basket Case uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Duk Koo.
Kim Duk Koo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Basket Case closes the distance and clinches up with Duk Koo, looking for a takedown. Basket Case pushes Duk Koo against the cage but Duk Koo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Basket Case drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Basket Case jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Basket Case postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Duk Koo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Basket Case , into his guard.

Basket Case is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Duk Koo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Basket Case tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Duk Koo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Duk Koo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Basket Case to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Duk Koo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Basket Case pulls down on the head and he's put Duk Koo to sleep! This one is all over!
