The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butterscotch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gay.
Gay moves out of range as Butterscotch strikes.
Nice straight punches there by Butterscotch. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Butterscotch.

and Gay counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gay controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Gay really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Butterscotch trying to strike off his back.
Gay makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Gay working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Butterscotch's head.
Gay with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Butterscotch wants to sweep but no luck.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Butterscotch has eaten all the pies!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Gay drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gay seems to have locked his on tight now - Butterscotch screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gay, as he picks up the win!
