Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Lopes (ranked 7690 p4p, 302 weight class) and Bubba Bizzle (ranked 8187 p4p, 316 weight class). David Lopes looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bubba Bizzle!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopes fails with a takedown attempt.
Bizzle looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Lopes tries to clinch but Bizzle moves out of range.
Bizzle moves into the clinch.
Lopes with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bizzle has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lopes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lopes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lopes is breathing heavily.
Lopes lands a shot to the body.
Lopes tries to pull guard but Bizzle holds him up against the cage and eventually Lopes drops back down to his feet.

Bizzle tries to circle away but Lopes has him pinned against the cage.
Bizzle's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lopes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bizzle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Bizzle fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bizzle scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Bizzle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lopes was covering up waiting for the punch and Bizzle finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bizzle stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Bizzle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lopes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bizzle passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lopes!
Bizzle is landing with some decent strikes but Lopes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

It looks like Bizzle might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We've been informed that Bizzle has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Bizzle lands a nice shot to the head.
Lopes is wriggling around trying to escape.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bizzle tries to close the distance and clinch but Lopes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lopes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bizzle counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bizzle decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Bizzle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bizzle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bizzle drops back looking for a leg! Lopes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lopes manages to kick Bizzle off! Bizzle jumps back into Lopes's guard.

Lopes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bizzle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lopes's guard.

Bizzle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bizzle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lopes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bizzle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lopes walks away with a smile on his face. Bizzle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bizzle shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lopes is trying to defend but Bizzle finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Bubba Bizzle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lopes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bizzle can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bubba Bizzle comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bizzle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
