Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dion Frost (ranked 25187 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Anderson (ranked 5414 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dion Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Corey Anderson!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Frost.
Frost seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.
Frost is trying to stall.

Frost manages to pull guard.
Anderson content to stall in guard here.
Frost working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost has momentary wrist control but Anderson slips an elbow through the middle.

Anderson stopping the sweep attempt from Frost.
Anderson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Frost is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Anderson wants to pass the guard but Frost is keeping the position.
Anderson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Frost seems keen to control Anderson's posture.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Anderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Frost to the mat! Frost manages to get full guard.

Frost can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Anderson controls the pace.
Anderson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Frost has Anderson pulled in close to control his posture.
Frost throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Anderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Frost is striking but Anderson is not phased and passes to half guard.
Frost is trying to maintain the position but Anderson is very close to passing his half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anderson content to control rather than advance.
Anderson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Anderson darts in and clinches Frost up against the cage.
Anderson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Frosts head.
Frost avoids a wild elbow strike from Anderson.
Frost tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Anderson jumps into guard, dragging Frost to the mat.
Frost has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Anderson is proving hard to escape from.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Anderson holds on and takes a little breather.
Frost is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Frost doesn't defend quickly enough and Anderson has managed to lock this one up! Can Frost escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Anderson on a fantastic submission victory.
