Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Gauthier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Bravado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravado has chosen Pray as his entrance music. Eddie Bravado has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravado closes the distance and clinches up with Gauthier, looking for a takedown. Bravado pushes Gauthier against the cage but Gauthier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bravado misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gauthier throws a leg kick but Bravado checks it.

Gauthier drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Bravado sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Gauthier is breathing heavily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Bravado manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Bravado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gauthier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gauthier manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bravado escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gauthier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bravado is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bravado is working for a kimura but Gauthier is defending it quite comfortably.

Despite being in the dominant position, Eddie Bravado just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bravado escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gauthier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gauthier has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bravado is proving hard to escape from.
Eddie Bravado has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bravado pulls Gauthier in close to his closed guard and prevents Gauthier from doing any damage or advancing position.

Bravado lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gauthier!
Bravado takes Gauthier's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Gauthier is in trouble.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
