Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fausto Carsara (ranked 1550 p4p, 204 weight class) and Alan Hansen (ranked 3386 p4p, 383 weight class). Carsara comes to the cage accompanied by E'sord Luché. Hansen has chosen Follow the Leader - by-KORN as his entrance music. Alan Hansen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carsara's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Horrible takedown attempt by Carsara or perhaps it was just good defense by Hansen, which made it look bad.

Hansen's coach down at Makoa - Hilo Cheapest Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hansen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hansen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
