Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximo Owen (ranked 8884 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rumble Goldstein (ranked 6011 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximo Owen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rumble Goldstein!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldstein shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Owen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Goldstein shoots in for a takedown but Owen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Goldstein doesn't manage to clinch there - Owen circles away.

Owen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Goldstein is looking to control Owen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Goldstein avoid being mounted?
Owen wants to stand up but Goldstein is controlling the position.

Owen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Goldstein throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Owen's waist but Owen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goldstein off to one side.

Goldstein is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Owen is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Goldstein.

Goldstein shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Owen sprawls well. Owen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goldstein gets slowly back to his feet.

Goldstein is fighting off a takedown attempt but Owen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Goldstein to the mat. Goldstein regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Owen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
