The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dongba closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dongba lands in his opponent's guard.
Dongba slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dongba tries to free his leg and advance position but Kennedy is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kennedy wants to sweep but no luck.
Dongba trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dongba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dongba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dongba engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

It looks like Dongba might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Kennedy is trying to control the position but Dongba postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dongba gets the takedown into side control.

Dongba goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kennedy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dongba but great work by Kennedy.
Kennedy tries to stand but Dongba is controlling his head.
Kennedy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kennedy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dongba drops back looking for a leg! Kennedy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kennedy manages to kick Dongba off! Dongba jumps back into Kennedy's guard.
Kennedy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dongba controls the pace.
Kennedy is looking to stand up but Dongba isn't so interested in that idea.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kennedy holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dongba circles away from the clinch attempt.

Dongba darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Dongba is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kennedy sees it coming and defends easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dongba seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Kennedy is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
