The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Pedroso. That snapped Van Parsons's head back.

It looks like Gordon Van Parsons has been cut.

Van Parsons has Pedroso up against the cage in a clinch.
Pedroso misses with a body punch.
Van Parsons is trying to maintain a safe position but Pedroso gets an underhook and turns Van Parsons into the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pedroso creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Pedroso fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nice body punch from Pedroso - that landed with a thud.

Van Parsons is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pedroso to keep the fight standing.

Pedroso's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Van Parsons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pedroso's waist but Pedroso gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Van Parsons off to one side.
Van Parsons is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Van Parsons darts in and clinches Pedroso up against the cage.
Pedroso lands a left hand that snaps the head of Van Parsons backwards.

Pedroso digs a right hand underneath Van Parsons's ribcage. Van Parsons let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Pedroso dips a shoulder and cracks Van Parsons with a mighty uppercut! Van Parsons falls back against the cage and Pedroso unloads with a barrage of strikes! Van Parsons is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pedroso screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
