Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremiah Woodley Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JoJo Nnamdi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nnamdi fails with a takedown attempt.
Nnamdi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Woodley Jr holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Nnamdi drops down looking for an ankle pick but Woodley Jr pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jeremiah Woodley Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JoJo Nnamdi.
Nnamdi fails with the takedown

and Woodley Jr counters by clinching up.

Woodley Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nnamdi looks for a takedown but Woodley Jr sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nnamdi tries to clinch up but Woodley Jr circles away and keeps his distance.
Woodley Jr lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Woodley Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nnamdi to the mat! Nnamdi manages to get full guard.
Woodley Jr won't allow Nnamdi to sweep him here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nnamdi trying to keep a closed guard but Woodley Jr is proving a slippery customer.

Nnamdi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nnamdi looks winded!
Nnamdi controls Woodley Jr momentarily but Woodley Jr frees himself.
Nnamdi has a closed guard, preventing Woodley Jr from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woodley Jr distracts Nnamdi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nnamdi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Woodley Jr postures up.
Woodley Jr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nnamdi has momentary wrist control but Woodley Jr slips an elbow through the middle.


Nnamdi is rocked!
Woodley Jr pushes down on Nnamdi's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Woodley Jr is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Nnamdi is hurt! He's hurt bad - Woodley Jr fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Nnamdi from any more punishment! Congratulations to Woodley Jr! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeremiah Woodley Jr!
