The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khaibulaev stuffs the takedown attempt from Magomedov. Magomedov gets slowly back to his feet.
Khaibulaev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Khaibulaev isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Magomedov stacks Khaibulaev on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Magomedov!

Magomedov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Khaibulaev asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Khaibulaev lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Magomedov down.

Magomedov steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

and Magomedov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khaibulaev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
