Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brooklin Rider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, AC/DC - Back in Black. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucas Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a hook to the side of Rider's head but Rider sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Black scores with the left hand. Rider knows he should have avoided that one.
Rider uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Black.
Rider drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rider postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Black is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rider, into his guard.
Rider trying to control the position.
Rider working for submissions but it's allowed Black to get to half guard.
Black is keen to just control but Rider is a slippery customer.

Rider has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Black is working away from the top position though.
Rider wants to improve his position but Black is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rider tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Rider is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Black trying to control the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Black throws a series of strikes that have Rider backpedaling.
It looks like Brooklin Rider has been cut.
Black lands a nice hook to Rider's body. Rider takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Black swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Black misses with an attempted mid kick.
Brooklin Rider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black cracks Rider with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Black misses with a series of wild punches.
Black rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rider moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Black lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Black scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Black throws a series of strikes that have Rider backpedaling.

Rider bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rider.

Black lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Black swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rider.

Black scores with a one two! Rider had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
No luck for Rider with that takedown attempt.
Lucas Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brooklin Rider.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rider stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rider closes this distance looking for a takedown but Black circles away.

Black connects with a looping right hand.

That's time! Black's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rider misses with a takedown attempt - Black sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lucas Black is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice defenses there by Rider.
Black lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rider backs up against the cage.
No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rider shoots in for a takedown but Black shows good takedown defense.

Black scores with the left hand. Rider knows he should have avoided that one.
Black connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rider shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Black stuffs the takedown.
Black lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rider fails with a takedown attempt.
Rider takes a swing at Black's ribcage but misses.

Black works over Rider's head and body with a nice combination.
Black is working the combinations to good effect here.
Black throws the left hand but Rider avoids the punch easily.
Black throws and low kick but Rider moves out of range easily.
Rider shoots in but Black avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Black lands a nice shot that snaps Rider's head back.
Rider gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Black jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Black is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Rider fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rider scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Rider works his foot free and advances to mount.

Rider jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Black is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Black and Rider has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rider tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Rider swings around for an armbar but Black sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rider's guard.
Black slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Rider looking for a sweep. Not yet Rider, not yet.

Rider throws his legs up looking for a submission but Black uses it to pass to side control.
Rider tries to improve position but can't.
Rider is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Black remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Black's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Rider is looking to reverse the position.
Rider is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Black is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Black is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rider can do to turn this around?
Rider needs to keep his hands up - Black had a free shot at his head there.

Black is posturing up here but Rider has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Black tries to roll out but it's too tight and Black has to tap! Slick submission there by Rider!
