Cummins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Prior's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

David Prior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cummins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Prior manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Prior throws a low kick but Cummins moves out of range easily.
Cummins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Prior stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Prior lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Cummins feints a jab promting Prior to slip. Cummins then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Prior slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Prior thuds his right hand into Cummins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Prior changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cummins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Cummins tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cummins is looking to improve his position but Prior isn't that keen on the idea.
