Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Lowe (ranked 759 p4p, 109 weight class) and Henri Hagert (ranked 1114 p4p, 161 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hagert throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lowe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hagert throws a leg kick but Lowe sees it coming and moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lowe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A countering left hand to the body from Hagert misses.
Lowe misses with a looping left.
Lowe misses with a right hand
and Hagert connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hagert throws a sloppy body shot
and Lowe counters with a slapping leg kick.

Henri Hagert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Lowe counters with a low kick, right behind Hagert 's knee.
Hagert uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lowe.
Lowe tries to clinch there but Hagert circles away.
Hagert wants to slow Lowe down by chopping away at his legs.
Lowe gets off balance looking for a body kick
letting Hagert counter with a right hand.

Lowe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lowe punishes Hagert's body with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lowe rushes Hagert and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hagert throws a punch but it's blocked by Lowe.
Hagert tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hagert misses with a hook from the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hagert throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lowe blocks it with crossed arms.
Lowe doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hagert goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That was a close round but I would say that Curtis Lowe will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lowe.
