Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Blevins (ranked 6533 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Carno (ranked 5993 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Carno looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Carno!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ron Honeybunn and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Blevins does no damage.
Kyle Carno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carno tries to clinch up.
Blevins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Blevins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carno circles away quickly and effectively.

As Carno looks to move away, Blevins throws a big counter combo but Carno just gets out of the way.

Blevins scores with a one two! Carno had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Blevins.
Carno avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Blevins.
Blevins throws a strike aimed at the side of Carno's head but Carno avoids it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Blevins lands a nice forearm strike.
Blevins remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Carno takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Carno stuffs the takedown attempt from Blevins. Blevins gets slowly back to his feet.
As Blevins backs off Carno throws a huge counter combo but Blevins manages to avoid it all.

Carno moves in looking to clinch but Blevins pushes him off.

Blevins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Blevins shoots in but Carno avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Carno tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blevins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Carno moves in looking to clinch but Blevins pushes him off.

and Blevins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Blevins lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Carno's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Blevins shoots in and bounces Carno off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carno is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Blevins dives into side control.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Blevins controlling the position from side mount.
We've been informed that Carno has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Blevins works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Blevins misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Blevins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Blevins looks up at the clock and then as Carno takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Blevins smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Carno parries the strikes from Blevins easily there. Blevins is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Carno to escape.
Blevins lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Carno down.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carno can do anything to dispel that myth.

Carno keeps control of Blevins as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Blevins's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Blevins wants to break free but Carno has control.

Carno tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blevins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Blevins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Carno for as long as he can get away with.
