Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Starling Silva (ranked 1339 p4p, 182 weight class) and Lance Legstrong (ranked 956 p4p, 130 weight class). Legstrong has chosen Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, Lance Legstrong!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva moves away from the strike by Legstrong.
Legstrong jabs Silva right on the nose. Silva blinks but takes it well.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Legstrong swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Silva throws a half hearted mid kick.
Silva throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Silva misses with a leg kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Legstrong! But no joy.
Legstrong throws a big shot that misses.
Legstrong throws a hook but Silva blocks it.
Legstrong keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Legstrong is just out of range.
Legstrong throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.

Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Silva throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Silva's jab looks to have found its range, popping Legstrong under the eye.
Silva gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Legstrong.
Silva thuds his right hand into Legstrong's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Legstrong throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silva appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Legstrong avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Silva throws the left hand but Legstrong avoids the punch easily.
Legstrong lands a jab to the head.
Silva is looking to chop away at Legstrong's legs.
Silva takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Legstrong shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Silva pulls Legstrong in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Legstrong shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Silva is looking to control Legstrong's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted?

It looks like Legstrong might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Silva is not content to let Legstrong control the position.
Legstrong tries to pass to full mount but Silva defends it.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Legstrong is working away from the top position though.

That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silva throws a combination. Legstrong tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Legstrong circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva needs to keep his hands up - Legstrong had a free shot at his head there.
Silva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Legstrong sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Silva just misses with a punch to the body.

A little jabbing left from Legstrong on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
