Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nazim Bardakci (ranked 3066 p4p, 345 weight class) and Derek Johnson (ranked 4553 p4p, 456 weight class). Bardakci comes to the cage accompanied by Edis - Çok Çok. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bardakci shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Johnson tries to bum rush Bardakci with a series of wild strikes but Bardakci uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bardakci shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A left and a right from Johnson both land. Nice combination.
Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing.
Bardakci throws a body shot but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson leaves Bardakci with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Bardakci counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bardakci. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bardakci drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Bardakci off! Bardakci jumps back into Johnson's guard.
