The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliev shoots in but no luck this time.

Khaibulaev has managed to clinch.

Khaibulaev wants the takedown. Aliev is fighting it off but Khaibulaev persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Aliev's guard against the cage.

Aliev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Khaibulaev defends it nicely.

Khaibulaev tries to land a knee to the head but Aliev blocks with his arms.
Aliev wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Khaibulaev breaks the clinch.
Khaibulaev looks to throw the jab but Aliev is out of range.
Aliev scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Aliev fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Khaibulaev.
Aliev tries to clinch but Khaibulaev moves away

and Khaibulaev counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Khaibulaev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Aliev, up you get!

Khaibulaev fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Aliev to the ground. Khaibulaev is now in Aliev's guard.

Khaibulaev is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Aliev is trying to escape and Khaibulaev transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Aliev is forced to tap! Nice work there by Khaibulaev! Very nice indeed!
