Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hopper (ranked 24874 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Haus (ranked 5977 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin Haus has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jack Hopper's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Hopper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Martin Haus!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Haus closes the distance and pushes Hopper back into the cage.
Hopper tries to break free but Haus pushes him back against the cage.

Haus is looking for a takedown.

Haus has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hopper clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Haus is hanging on to Hopper's back as he tries to escape.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Haus. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Hopper is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Haus.

Haus just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Haus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

I would not like to be Hopper right now.

It looks like Haus might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Haus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hopper is pushing Haus's head away, looking to escape. Haus manages to hold on to the position though.

Haus cracks Hopper with a big right hand but Hopper just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hopper is letting Haus control him for a moment.

Martin Haus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Hopper's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Hopper tries to keep at a distance but Haus has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hopper looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Haus is trying to drag Hopper to the mat but Hopper just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Haus manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Hopper has picked Haus up - he's going for a ride! Hopper dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Martin Haus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Haus decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
