Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elwood Blair (ranked 25502 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kin Julo (ranked 6073 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Julo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Blair wants to improve his position but Julo is controlling well.

Julo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blair paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Julo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Blair's guard.
Blair is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Julo dives into side control.

Julo wants to stand but Blair has his arm trapped.
Julo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Blair will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Julo works to advance to full mount. Blair defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Julo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Blair manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Julo tries to stand but Blair is controlling his head.

Blair is not content to let Julo control the position.
You can see the frustration on Blair's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Julo wants to control but Blair is keeping him busy.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kin Julo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blair enables Julo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blair manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Julo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Blair wants to get back to full guard.
Julo is trying to control. Blair wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Julo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Julo winds up and cracks Blair with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Let's hope that Julo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Blair tries to kick Julo off but Julo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Blair wants to control but Julo passes into side.
Blair seems a little lost for a moment, as Julo dominates the positioning.

Julo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Blair tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Julo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Blair is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Julo looking to control and managing it successfully.
Blair knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Julo on the ground.

Julo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Julo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Blair tries to lock up and control but Julo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Julo is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Julo extends the arm and Blair is forced to tap!
