Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amirkhan Adaev (ranked 3375 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaplan Temrezov (ranked 5297 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amirkhan Adaev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kaplan Temrezov!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adaev is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Adaev blocks a head kick by Temrezov.
Adaev shoots in for a takedown but Temrezov shows good takedown defense.

Temrezov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Temrezov tries to land knees in the clinch but Adaev avoids the damage to the body.
Adaev tries to break free but Temrezov pushes him back against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Adaev seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Temrezov wants to control the position but Adaev says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Adaev not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Adaev looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Adaev gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Temrezov keeps control of Adaev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Adaev tries to circle away but Temrezov has him pinned against the cage.
Adaev changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Temrezov fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Temrezov clinches up with Adaev and pushes him back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Temrezov takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Temrezov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Adaev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Adaev closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Temrezov is trying to buck Adaev off.
Adaev is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

A close round but Kaplan Temrezov will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Temrezov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Adaev sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Temrezov's guard.

Adaev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Temrezov is just riding it out for now. Adaev eventually gives up the hold.

Temrezov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Adaev is trying to control the action in half guard but Temrezov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Adaev is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Adaev is looking to take a break and control but Temrezov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Adaev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Temrezov pushes Adaev off looking to stand but Adaev dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Temrezov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Adaev defends it nicely.

Adaev swings wildly with an uppercut but Temrezov uses good head movement to avoid it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Temrezov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Adaev as he jumps to the side.

Adaev slaps away a takedown attempt from Temrezov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Adaev drops down looking for a counter takedown but Temrezov sprawls and moves away.

Temrezov leaves Adaev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Adaev is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Temrezov to keep the fight standing.

Temrezov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adaev is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Adaev is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Temrezov throws an elbow that misses. Adaev uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Temrezov's guard. Nice move by Adaev!

Temrezov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Adaev scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adaev slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Adaev has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Temrezov is looking to stand up but Adaev isn't so interested in that idea.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Adaev is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Amirkhan Adaev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Temrezov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Adaev is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Temrezov.
Temrezov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Adaev avoids it really well and circles away.

Adaev turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Amirkhan Adaev showed his dominance in that final round.
