Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juro Kallaway (ranked 9234 p4p, 680 weight class) and Dragan Draganov (ranked 9569 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juro Kallaway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dragan Draganov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kallaway shoots in looking for a takedown. Draganov tries to sprawl out of it but Kallaway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Draganov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Draganov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kallaway.
Despite the aggression on Draganov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Draganov tries to clinch up.
Kallaway tries for a takedown but Draganov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juro Kallaway. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kallaway stuffs the takedown.

Draganov shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Kallaway pushes Draganov off but Draganov dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kallaway bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Draganov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Draganov tries to counter with a clinch but Kallaway shakes him off and moves away.
Draganov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Draganov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Draganov fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kallaway, pushing him back against the cage.

Draganov wants the takedown. Kallaway is fighting it off but Draganov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kallaway's guard against the cage.

Kallaway is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Draganov is aware though and is defending well.
Draganov with a flurry of punches that miss.
Draganov wants to pass the guard but Kallaway is keeping the position.
Kallaway can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Draganov controls the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Draganov tries to clinch but Kallaway is having none of it.

Kallaway seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kallaway lands a jab-cross combination.

Draganov has Kallaway up against the cage in a clinch.
Kallaway tries to pull guard but Draganov won't allow it.
We've been informed that Draganov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kallaway escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Draganov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dragan Draganov will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kallaway tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Draganov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kallaway moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kallaway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Draganov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kallaway gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Draganov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kallaway just stands there and leans against the cage.
Draganov stalls.

Kallaway pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kallaway throws a left and a right that both miss
and Draganov counters with a one-two to the body.
Draganov closes the distance and lands a one-two.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Draganov keeps the fight on the outside.

Draganov pushes Kallaway up against the cage in a clinch.
Kallaway tries to circle away but Draganov has him pinned against the cage.
Draganov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Draganov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kallaway just stands there and leans against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Draganov fails to land.

Kallaway breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kallaway misses with a double jab.
Draganov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kallaway will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kallaway has his takedown stuffed
and Draganov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kallaway tries to score a power double leg takedown but Draganov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kallaway somewhat.
Draganov now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juro Kallaway. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Draganov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kallaway defends well and Draganov ends up having to push Kallaway into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Kallaway appears to be looking for a big counter.
Juro Kallaway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Draganov throws a right and a left that Kallaway avoids nicely.
Draganov sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

and Draganov counters with a stiff right hand.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Draganov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Draganov.

Draganov misses with a takedown attempt - Kallaway sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Draganov tries to clinch up but Kallaway circles away and keeps his distance.

Draganov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kallaway's waist but Kallaway gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Draganov off to one side.

Kallaway escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kallaway misses with a series of wild punches.
Draganov with the counter takedown but Kallaway avoids it easily.
Kallaway jabs Draganov to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Draganov throws a leg kick which misses Kallaway's front leg but catches the back leg as Kallaway tries to avoid it.
Draganov dives in and grabs Kallaway's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kallaway pushes down on Draganov's head and hops out.
Kallaway catches Draganov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Draganov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Draganov looks to move away, Kallaway throws a big counter combo but Draganov just gets out of the way.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dragan Draganov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Kallaway looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kallaway plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Juro Kallaway is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Draganov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kallaway as he avoids it easily.
Kallaway misses with a double jab
and Draganov counters with a right hand to the body.
Kallaway fails in his attempt to clinch.
Draganov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kallaway swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kallaway dives in and grabs Draganov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Draganov pushes down on Kallaway's head and hops out.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kallaway fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Draganov clinches with his opponent.
Draganov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kallaway walks away with a smile on his face. Draganov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Juro Kallaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dragan Draganov.
Kallaway throws a series of punches but Draganov moves out of range.

Draganov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kallaway on his heels. He'll look to pass Kallaway's guard now, I'm sure.
Draganov wants to control from the top but Kallaway keeps moving.

Draganov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kallaway has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Draganov has managed to get both his arms back between Kallaway's legs - danger averted.
Draganov tries to free his leg and advance position but Kallaway is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Draganov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Draganov looking to sit in guard and control but Kallaway gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kallaway wants to control from the top but Draganov keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Draganov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Draganov lands a decent shot there.
Juro Kallaway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Draganov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Draganov is trying to hold Kallaway in close to prevent damage but Kallaway has managed to pass into half guard.
Draganov throws a strike from the bottom but Kallaway passes into side control!
Draganov is trying to control Kallaway's posture but Kallaway avoids it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kallaway is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Draganov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Draganov wants to control but Kallaway postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
Juro Kallaway showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Draganov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
