Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Brown (ranked 6403 p4p, 422 weight class) and Dhino Savi (ranked 25531 p4p, 519 weight class). Brown 's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gangsta Paradise. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Brown !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dhino Savi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Savi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Brown has a closed guard, preventing Savi from standing up.
Savi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Savi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Savi is one step ahead there.
Brown is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Brown is looking to sweep but instead, Savi has passed into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Savi is just content to waste time from the top position. Brown takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Savi.
Brown is trying to control Savi's posture but Savi avoids it.
Savi wants to stand but Brown has his arm trapped.

Savi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Savi creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brown sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Brown tries to buck Savi off but Savi is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Brown 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
An elbow from Savi crashes against the mat.
Brown can't do much from the bottom here.
Brown is looking to regain half guard here but Savi keeps moving and retains side control.

Savi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Savi misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Brown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Brown keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Savi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Brown wants to improve his position but Savi is controlling well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brown wants to control but Savi is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dhino Savi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Savi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Savi wants to stand but Brown is controlling his arm.
Brown is trying to control Savi's posture but Savi avoids it.
Brown tries to bench press Savi off him but Savi keeps the position.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Brown is looking to reverse the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown stops Savi from passing to mount.
Brown is being controlled here.
Brown wants to control but Savi postures up.

Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Brown is working hard here to advance position.
Savi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Savi tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brown .

Savi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Brown 's half guard.
Savi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Brown is positioning himself well to prevent Savi advancing to mount.
Brown is staying active underneath Savi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Brown is trying to control but can't.
Brown is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Savi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Savi controlling the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Brown tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Savi defends well and Brown ends up having to push Savi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Savi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

No luck for Brown with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Brown . That's going to take a lot out of him.

Savi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brown tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Savi is in Brown 's guard.
Savi wants to stand but Brown is controlling his posture from full guard.
Dhino Savi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Brown is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Savi wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Savi trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Brown manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Brown passes Savi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Savi is breathing heavily.
Brown works his way into full mount!
Brown throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Brown goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Savi is on top in guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brown lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dhino Savi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Savi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brown has his takedown stuffed

and Savi counters by clinching up.

Savi drags the fight down to the ground.
Brown passes Savi's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Savi is defending well.

Brown is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown is trying to control the action in half guard but Savi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Savi keeps working.
Savi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though.
Brown prevents Savi from standing back up.
Brown wants to pass the guard but Savi is defending well.
Brown works his way into side control.

Savi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Brown wants to control but Savi is keeping him busy.

Brown tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brown has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Savi is trying to improve his position.

Brown advances to full mount.

Brown looking for a guillotine from mount but Savi is having none of it.

Brown is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Savi is surviving well by controlling Brown 's body position as best he can.

Brown controlling his opponent.
Brown thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Brown throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Savi is squirming around, avoiding Brown 's attempts to control the action.

Antonio Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Brown goes for an armbar but Savi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Savi.
Dhino Savi is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Savi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Antonio Brown showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Savi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
