The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson shoots in for a double leg but Temrezov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Swanson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Temrezov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Temrezov distracts Swanson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Swanson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Swanson wants to stand but Temrezov is controlling the position.

Temrezov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Temrezov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swanson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Temrezov has managed to get both his arms back between Swanson's legs - danger averted.

Temrezov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Swanson to the ground. Temrezov is now in Swanson's guard.
Temrezov stands and throws Swanson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Swanson tries to bench press Temrezov off him but Temrezov keeps the position.

Temrezov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Temrezov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Swanson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Swanson wants to get back to his feet but Temrezov drags him back down.
