These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Daniels shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Santos napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Santos throws Daniels to one side and escapes!
Daniels uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Santos has time to react.

Daniels closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Daniels is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Santos is trying to escape and Daniels transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Santos is forced to tap! Nice work there by Daniels! Very nice indeed!
