The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rio Laksa dives in and scores a takedown into Lopes's guard.

Rio Laksa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lopes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rio Laksa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like Rio Laksa might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Rio Laksa quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lopes has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast!
