The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Volkov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Volkov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jimenez.
Aleksandr Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Volkov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jimenez is trying to defend but Volkov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Volkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jimenez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jimenez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Jimenez has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Volkov doesn't defend quickly enough and Jimenez has managed to lock this one up! Can Volkov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jimenez on a fantastic submission victory.
