Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Diggs (ranked 2032 p4p, 216 weight class) and Alexander Rewell (ranked 2520 p4p, 256 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Rewell!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggs lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rewell's sensitive parts.
Diggs throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Decent striking displayed by Diggs there.
Diggs looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rewell misses the jab.
Rewell waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Diggs.
Rewell blocks a low kick nicely.
Rewell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Diggs on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rewell. Rewell obviously looking to wear him down.
Rewell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Diggs moves away.
Diggs seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Diggs throws a jab but it's blocked by Rewell.
Diggs misses with a wild body shot.
Diggs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rewell.
Diggs tries to counter with a takedown but Rewell is quick to defend against it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rewell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rewell avoids the body shot from Diggs.
A bone on bone clash there as Diggs blocks the leg kick.
Rewell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Diggs lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rewell's sensitive parts.
Rewell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Diggs can pounce on him.

Diggs looks to land a left hand but Rewell moved out of range nicely.
The crowd cheers as Rewell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diggs doesn't seem phased though.
Rewell's corner calls for a 1-2. Rewell obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Rewell lands a leg kick that knocks Diggs off balance momentarily.

Diggs looks to land a left hand but Rewell moved out of range nicely.

Rewell jabs Diggs right on the nose. Diggs blinks but takes it well.

Rewell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diggs.
Nice straight punches there by Rewell. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rewell.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rewell throws a looping overhand right but Diggs ducks down to avoid it.
Diggs throws a lazy right hand but Rewell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Rewell lands a nice shot that snaps Diggs's head back.
Diggs connects with a looping right hand.
Diggs blocks a head kick by Rewell.
Rewell lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Diggs at a distance.
Rewell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Diggs defending well as Rewell loads up on a big left hand.
Diggs throws a chopping leg kick but Rewell manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Rewell throws a counter combo.

Diggs clinches up with Rewell and pushes him back against the cage.

Diggs breaks the clinch.
Rewell goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rewell pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Diggs has managed to clinch.

Diggs pulls guard successfully.
Rewell controls from within his opponent's guard.
Diggs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rewell is one step ahead there.

Rewell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Diggs tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rewell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Diggs is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rewell slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Diggs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rewell gets full guard.
Diggs throws a strike but Rewell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Diggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Diggs cracks a nice hook into Rewell's ribs.
Rewell throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Diggs takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Diggs lands a nice looking body shot.
Diggs tries to clinch but Rewell moves out of range.
Rewell defending well as Diggs loads up on a big left hand.
Rewell lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rewell throws a sloppy head kick and Diggs moves out of range easily.
Diggs appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Rewell throws a leg kick which misses Diggs's front leg but catches the back leg as Diggs tries to avoid it.
Diggs on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Diggs fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rewell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Rewell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Diggs lands a jab to the head.
Rewell throws a half hearted mid kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diggs throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rewell makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Diggs really felt that one!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rewell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Diggs has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Diggs and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rewell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Diggs.
Rewell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Diggs.
Rewell throws the kick towards the body but Diggs avoids it.
Diggs turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Diggs ducks right into an uppercut from Rewell.

The fight stays on the outside here - Diggs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Diggs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rewell jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rewell throws a low kick, looking for Diggs's leg but Diggs calmly moves out of range.

Diggs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rewell.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diggs changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rewell.
Diggs is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

and Rewell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Diggs decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rewell's guard.

Diggs throws an elbow that misses. Rewell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diggs's guard. Nice move by Rewell!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Rewell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Diggs wants to improve his position but instead Rewell has moved into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diggs is looking to improve his position.
Rewell trying to control the action but Diggs is working from the bottom.

Alexander Rewell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Diggs looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rewell!
Rewell tries to improve position but can't.
Diggs is trying to ground and pound but Rewell uses the momentary lack of control by Diggs to regain half guard.

Rewell is looking for a sweep. Diggs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rewell is trying to maintain the position but Diggs is very close to passing his half guard.

Diggs is stalling here. Rewell is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Diggs seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rewell has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Diggs tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rewell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee asks Rewell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rewell prefers to stall for the moment though.

Diggs seems a little lost for a moment, as Rewell dominates the positioning.
Diggs is looking to regain half guard here but Rewell keeps moving and retains side control.
Rewell gets to mount! Diggs was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Diggs is squirming around, avoiding Rewell's attempts to control the action.

Diggs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Alexander Rewell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Rewell winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
