Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mario Zambrana (ranked 2832 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Rusted (ranked 4580 p4p, 0 weight class). Zambrana's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Impact is Imminent. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Zambrana. Rusted does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rusted throws a shot from downtown. Zambrana moves away and avoids it.
Rusted scores with a jab to the body.
Zambrana is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zambrana misses with a low kick.
Rusted walks into a left hand.
Rusted throws a big shot that misses.
Zambrana misses with an uppercut. Rusted saw that one coming.

so Rusted counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rusted controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Zambrana knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rusted on the ground.
Zambrana trying to keep a closed guard but Rusted is proving a slippery customer.
Rusted wants to pass the guard but Zambrana is keeping the position.
Rusted slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Zambrana on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zambrana tries to get out of the position.

An elbow from Rusted crashes against the mat.
Rusted staying calm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rusted throws a strike aimed at the side of Zambrana's head but Zambrana avoids it well.
Rusted wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zambrana keeps working.
Rusted is putting a hurting on Zambrana here, landing some big shots from side control.
Rusted in side control, just content to control the action for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rusted tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rusted has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Zambrana tries to buck Rusted off but Rusted is having none of it.
Zambrana takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Rusted tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Rusted misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Rusted throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Zambrana takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Rusted is working to tighten his grip on Zambrana's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Zambrana has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Rusted is really squeezing tight and eventually Zambrana passes out! Rusted breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
