The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanderson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sanderson lands a nice short elbow.

It looks like Cael Sanderson has been cut.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanderson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sanderson tries to lock up and control but Gavin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sanderson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Gavin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That has opened up Cael Sanderson's cut even more.

The cut above Cael Sanderson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Sanderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gavin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
