The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fjera doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fjera misses with a left hand
and Gomu counters with a right hand to the body.
Fjera shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Fjera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomu was well out of range. Poor timing from Fjera.
Gomu just misses with a punch to the body.
Gomu avoids the body shot from Fjera.
Fjera doesn't manage to clinch there - Gomu circles away.

Gomu swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Fjera takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Nick Fjera has been cut.

Gomu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Fjera moves out of range of the body kick from Gomu.
Gomu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gomu. That's going to slow Fjera down.
Gomu is looking to wear down Fjera with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Gomu throws a body shot but no joy.
Fjera lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Gomu Gomu has been cut.

Gomu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fjera throws out the jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gomu, as that shot connected.

Fjera takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Fjera bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Gomu fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fjera.
Gomu lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Fjera looks to land a combination but Gomu avoids it well.
Gomu is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Fjera on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Fjera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gomu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Gomu uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fjera.
Gomu keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fjera takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Gomu bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Gomu bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fjera's head.

Nick Fjera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fjera takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fjera walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gomu.

Gomu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That has opened up Nick Fjera's cut even more.

Fjera takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gomu throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Gomu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gomu stuns Fjera with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fjera's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Fjera fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gomu manages to avoid it.
A quick step to the side and Gomu tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Fjera closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Gomu lands a big right hand that sends Fjera crashing to the mat! Gomu stays standing though and waves Fjera back to his feet!

and Gomu counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gomu Gomu!
Gomu Gomu tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
