The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by The Guy.

The Guy closes the distance and clinches.

The Guy drags the fight down to the ground.
Blackwell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The Guy isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Blackwell stacks The Guy on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Blackwell!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Guy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Blackwell could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Blackwell cracks The Guy with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Blackwell wants to control but The Guy is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
