The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Liberato.

Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Sanchez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez tries for a kimura but Liberato is defending well.

Sanchez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Liberato has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sanchez but great work by Liberato.
Sanchez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Liberato wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Liberato wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sanchez, who protects the arm well.

Liberato looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sanchez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Liberato's best efforts.
Sanchez wants to control but Liberato is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sanchez regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sanchez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Liberato wanted to stand there but Sanchez had control of the position.
Sanchez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Liberato is posturing up here but Sanchez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Liberato tries to roll out but it's too tight and Liberato has to tap! Slick submission there by Sanchez!
