Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rex Breezy (ranked 6497 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Wusky (ranked 6109 p4p, 578 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rex Breezy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Larry Wusky!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Breezy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wusky's half guard.
Wusky is trying to maintain the position but Breezy is very close to passing his half guard.
Wusky regains full guard. Nicely done.
Wusky tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Breezy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Breezy content to stall in guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wusky wants to sweep but no luck.

Breezy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Wusky fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Breezy sprawls well initially but Wusky persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Breezy won't allow Wusky to pass to mount.

Breezy tries to roll over but Wusky keeps him under control.
Wusky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Breezy's head.

Breezy is looking for a sweep. Wusky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A combination from Breezy does no damage.
Wusky is looking to clinch but Breezy is avoiding it.
Breezy tries to clinch up but Wusky circles away and keeps his distance.
Breezy tries to clinch but Wusky is having none of it.
Wusky wants to counter with a clinch but Breezy pushes him away.
Wusky slips a jab and a cross from Breezy.
Wusky doesn't manage to clinch there - Breezy circles away.
Wusky tries for a takedown but Breezy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Breezy half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Breezy appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Breezy throws a nice looking combination but Wusky bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Breezy tries to get to full guard but Wusky has control of the leg.

Wusky is trying to control. Breezy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Breezy is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Well, if Wusky is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Breezy wants to control but Wusky is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rex Breezy will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Breezy clinches.
Breezy is trying to pull guard but Wusky turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Breezy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wusky's efforts to push away.
Wusky tries for a takedown but Breezy manages to get underhooks.
Wusky stalls.
Wusky misses with a punch to the body.
Breezy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wusky gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Wusky tries to break free but Breezy pushes him back against the cage.
Wusky fails to pull guard.

Wusky is trying to stall.
Breezy has Wusky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wusky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rex Breezy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Breezy gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Wusky regains guard.
Wusky tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wusky seems keen to control Breezy's posture.
Breezy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Wusky leaves Breezy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Wusky shoots in for a takedown but Breezy shows good takedown defense.

Wusky blocks a head kick by Breezy.
Wusky shoots in and drives through. Breezy sprawls well.

Wusky decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wusky tries to pass the half guard into mount. Breezy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Breezy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Wusky takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Breezy is trying is best to control the position here.
Breezy has hold of Wusky's hands but Wusky slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Wusky is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Breezy is just riding it out for now. Wusky eventually gives up the hold.
Wusky is breathing heavily.
Wusky trying to mount his opponent but Breezy defends it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Breezy gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rex Breezy will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Wusky is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wusky tries for a takedown but Breezy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Wusky shoots in looking for a takedown but Breezy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wusky's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Breezy is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Wusky.
Wusky is looking to land body kicks.

Breezy clinches up against the cage.
Breezy is looking to take this one to the mat.
Breezy misses with a body punch.

Breezy pulls guard effortlessly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wusky throws a big right hand that misses.

Wusky drops back looking for a leg! Breezy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Breezy manages to kick Wusky off! Wusky jumps back into Breezy's guard.
Wusky passes Breezy's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Breezy wants to improve his position but Wusky is controlling well.
Larry Wusky has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wusky thows a huge punch but Breezy dodges it nicely.

Wusky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Breezy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wusky is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Wusky not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Breezy wants to improve his position but Wusky is controlling well.
Breezy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Breezy tries to get out of the position.

Wusky controlling the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Breezy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wusky has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wusky and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Breezy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wusky tries to keep at a distance but Breezy has taken the fight into the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Breezy moves out of range as Wusky strikes.
Breezy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wusky.
Rex Breezy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Wusky.
Wusky scores with a head kick. Breezy tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wusky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Breezy sprawls well. Breezy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wusky gets slowly back to his feet.
Wusky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Breezy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wusky.
Wusky takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd cheers as Breezy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wusky doesn't seem phased though.
Breezy looks to land a combination but Wusky avoids it well.
Wusky tries to counter by closing the distance.
Rex Breezy is winning the standup battle so far.

Breezy closes the distance and pushes Wusky back into the cage.
Wusky prevents a body shot from Breezy.
Breezy just leaning against Wusky, taking a breather.

Rex Breezy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rex Breezy showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Breezy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
