Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mclaughlin shoots in looking for a takedown but Rodriguez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mclaughlin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rodriguez tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Rodriguez gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Mclaughlin counters with a shoot takedown. Rodriguez fights it but they end up in guard.
Mclaughlin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rodriguez wants to stand up but Mclaughlin is controlling him.
Rodriguez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mclaughlin controls the pace.
Rodriguez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mclaughlin wants to control from the top but Rodriguez keeps moving.

Rodriguez will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mclaughlin up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mclaughlin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rodriguez walks away with a smile on his face. Mclaughlin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mclaughlin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rodriguez uses from the top position.

Mclaughlin goes for a double leg but Rodriguez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rodriguez continues to drive forward.

Rodriguez feints with a jab and clips Mclaughlin right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Mclaughlin is sent crashing into the canvas and Rodriguez leaps in for the kill! Mclaughlin tries to get to his feet but Rodriguez is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Mclaughlin is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dani Rodriguez!
